I'd like to pass on my condolences to Doug, Nancy, Chris and the rest of the family. I only knew Don for a few years but in that short time I grew to respect him as a loving father and patriotic American. He was kind enough to let me hang around the garage and learn about racing. He would have been proud to see me recently fixing my garage door with a pop rivet gun! I'll never forget those summers or Don, Doug and the other people that had a lasting impact on my life.

He encouraged me as a new firefighter to train and learn as many skills as possible to become a future officer and serve the community! I was very grateful for his leadership and guidance. Don was a wonderful caring man whom I am proud to call my Father-in-law. He will be missed by so many. I am so happy that I got to witness a wonderful father/son relationship like theirs. He was so very generous with his time. I remember many times he was called in to supervise our project work!! He was so generous and kind.
