Yancy C. Nauman

Yancy C. Nauman, 61, of Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sunday, May 24, 1959 in Lancaster a son of Kenneth Nauman of Elizabethtown and the late Betty M. (Drybred) Spagnoletti. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wendy M. (Harnish) Nauman. 

A dedicated and hard worker, Yancy was a millwright for Herr and Sacco. He also enjoyed metal fabrication. Yancy was an avid Penn State football and wrestling fan; he loved coaching girls softball, riding his motorcycle and riding wheelies and riding snowmobile and ATVs. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and he studied Karate. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed his time with the guys out hitting golf balls around whether it be for fun or for charity. Yancy was perhaps best known for his sense of adventure.  He lived life to the fullest.  We have lost a great friend, brother, father and husband; he will be truly missed by all and his antics will be our favorite stories forever.   

In addition to his wife, Yancy is survived by his daughter Kendall L. Nauman of Bainbridge; a step-son Torrey J. Garver and wife Holli of Mifflintown; four grandchildren: Colten and Mallory Garver, Kadyn Brinser and Kyley Goss; a sister Connie Shay of Elizabethtown and a brother Victor K. Nauman and wife Pat of Bainbridge. 

A celebration of Yancy’s life will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Salt Shaker, 2548 River Road in Bainbridge from 1 to 4; all who knew him are welcome. Masks are optional, but at the request of the family, please wear one if you are showing any signs or symptoms of illness.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Yancy’s memory may be made to Penn State Cancer Institute at 400 University Drive Hershey, PA 17033.
