Linda L. (Meredith) Smeal

Linda L. (Meredith) Smeal, 74, of Bainbridge, PA, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, August 16, 2021, at her home in Conoy Township.  Born Tuesday, April 8, 1947, in Halifax, PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard Myles Meredith Sr. and Dorothy Jean (Wade) Meredith.  She was married to Lawton E. Smeal on January 25, 1964.

In addition to her husband of over 57 years, she is survived by two children: Debra L. Hall, of Clearfield, PA and Lorrie L. Ball, of Tyrone, PA.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Sarah A. Stum, married to Zach, Heather L. Ryder, Benjamin R. Hall, married to Kimberly, Robert A. Young and his fiancée, Brittany Higham, Jacob M. Young; seven great grandchildren: Lana Stum, Blake Stum, Dominick Ryder, Allison Young, Jaxzon Ryder, Liam Scarrillo and Raelyn Young; a sister, Jill Kope, married to Fred, of Huntingdon, PA; a brother, Gary Meredith, of Fishing Creek, PA, as well as Linda’s numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Myles Meredith, Jr., a niece, Erica Marie Kope and a sister-in-law, Rita Meredith.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 144 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1380.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.  A viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Thursday.  Following the burial, the family would like to invite everyone to join them for refreshments at the Bainbridge Fire Company, 34 South Second Street, Bainbridge, PA  17502.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to the Bainbridge Fire Company and mailed to PO Box 31, Bainbridge, PA  17502.
