Albert D. Retherford

Albert D. Retherford, 81, of Bainbridge, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. Born Sunday, June 23, 1940, he was the son of the late Samuel and Anna Mae (Deimler) Retherford. He was married to Beverly Kay (Troutman) Retherford who passed away in April of 2015. 

Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. A farmer all his life, he was also a good businessman. He loved being a farmer and being able to provide something people need. He also believed in treating people fairly. Albert loved animals and,  enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by a daughter Michele L. McElwee of Lebanon; six grandchildren: Brandon Hackman, Cory Beiler, Dillan McElwee, Kari Coble, Zachary Landis and Tara Heimbach; five great grandchildren; three sisters: Arlene Sager, Margie Bair and Mick Noss; and four brothers: George, Troy, Bob and Allen Retherford.

He was predeceased by a daughter Robin Irvin; a son Mark Retherford; and three brothers: Earl, Ernie and Samuel Retherford.
