Robert L. Royer

Robert L. Royer, 86, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. He was born March 19, 1938, in Elizabethtown to the late John and Katie (Kramer) Royer.

Robert graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1956. He spent his working career for Hesteco Dress Factory. He was a proud member of our Untied States Army where he served from 1956-1959. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, hunting, attending auctions, watching any type of sports but especially Cleveland Browns football games, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Royer; two daughters, Laura Varndell, and Kathy Jo Moore (Jerry); grandchildren, Ryan Boyer (Samantha), Jason Boyer, Nick Varndell, Emma Miller (Jimmy), and Joseph Coble; great grandchildren, RJ Boyer, Kayc Boyer, Kris Boyer, Sadie Coble, and a baby girl on the way; a sister, Charlotte Fackler. He was preceded in death by his siblings John Royer Jr., Charles Royer, Paul Royer, Sarah Gainer, Jean Collins, Mae Thomas, Jay Royer, Mary Geiman, and Ann McBride.

Family and friends are invited for visitation on Friday, April 5th from 4 to 5 PM at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.  A Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM with Reverend Dave Kreider officiating.
