Robert M. Mauk

Robert M. Mauk, 66, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center. Born Friday, November 17, 1950 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late John Wayne and Bernice (Owens) Mauk. He was married 29 years to Nancy A. (Peel) Mauk, also of Elizabethtown.

Robert was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam war. He was employed by the US Postal Service as a letter carrier, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Marine Corps League in Hummelstown and the American Legion in Elizabethtown. Robert was an expert SCUBA diver, and enjoyed playing chess and poker.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Bridgette Mauk of Michigan; a step son Allen Cole and his wife Holli of Virginia; a granddaughter Makayla, a grandson Shane and one step granddaughter Megan; and two sisters: Gerri Torok of Michigan and Judy Krapf and her husband Danny, also of Michigan.

Robert was predeceased by a sister Barbara Horn and three brothers: Floyd, John and Michael Mauk.

A time of remembrance and sharing will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 144 East High Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
