Robert C. "Paw" Ebersole

Robert C. Ebersole, 93, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Morris and Ruth (Metzger) Ebersole. He was widowed in 2018 by his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Nancy J. (Campbell) Ebersole. 

Robert, known fondly as “Paw”, was a true family man at heart, someone who never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. His home was often filled with laughter, whether he was hosting lively gatherings or organizing friendly yard games that brought people together. Known as the go-to “Mr. Fix-it,” he was always ready to lend a hand to friends and neighbors, no matter the task. When he wasn’t helping others, he found peace in tending to his garden, taking pride in watching it grow and flourish. He cherished his cabin in Leetonia, where he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. 

Paw is survived by three children, Robert R. Ebersole (Roxann), Dennis A. Ebersole, and Robin C. Ritrovato (Michael), 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, brother, R. Ken Ebersole, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and everyone in Leetonia. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by 4 siblings. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Geyers United Methodist Church, 1605 S. Geyers Church Rd., Middletown, PA 17057. Burial will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation at the church from 12pm until the start of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 144 E. High St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
