Rheba M. Leonard, 92, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  She was born Friday, September 1, 1922 in McAlisterville Township, PA to the late Charles E. and Mary (Krissinger) Goodling.  She was married to Charles A. Leonard for over 58 years.  Mr. Leonard died on June 12, 2002.

She will be lovingly missed by three children: Kay F. Baker and husband Michael Kyler, of Etters; Charles A. “Chuck” Leonard and wife Debbie, of Muncy; Teresa A. Hicks and husband Terry, of Southbury, CT; six grandchildren, Matthew (Laura), Adam and Natalie Leonard, Nathan and Charles Hicks, Rhett Baker; one great grandson, Harrison Leonard; four brothers, Charles “Junie”, Jr., Albert “Bert”, Harry “Henner” and Jim Goodling; two sisters, Lois Conley, Isla Long, as well as Rheba’s extended family and caring friends.

Rheba was active in her church serving for many years in the nursery and on various committees.  She was a member of the Soroptimist Club and the Elizabeth Hughes Society.   During World War II Rheba became a dedicated blood donor.  She was recognized for having donated in excess of 125 gallons of blood and continued donating for many years afterwards.    She was employed most of her working life as a legal secretary for Elizabethtown attorney Henry F. Gingrich and most recently for the firm now known as Gingrich, Smith, Klingensmith and Dolan, Attorneys at Law, Elizabethtown, Pa.  Through her work she was active in the Lancaster County Legal Secretaries Association and served as the organization’s President in the late 1980’s.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, pinochle and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren, 777 South Mount Joy Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to view at Boyer Funeral Home Inc., 144 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 on Thursday evening between 6 and 8 PM and also at the church on Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.  Private Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA at the convenience of the family.
