Mary I. (Appleby) Moist
October 6, 1933 — December 13, 2024
Mary I. Moist, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born Friday, October 6, 1933 in Ryde, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wayne C. and Nancy G. (Kimberly) Appleby. She was married 54 years to Lester Moist who passed away in 2007.
Mary was retired from M & M Mars, Elizabethtown, where she worked as a Senior Operator for over 21 years. She enjoyed knitting, flower gardening, and loved “playing in the dirt”.
Mary is survived by six children: Jon C. Moist (Dawn), Cheryl Seminario, Michael F. Moist (Vickie), Leslie Norton, Roger L. Moist (Becky) and Lester Moist, Jr. (Anjali); 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Newville Bible Church, 819 Turnpike Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM.
