Marjorie A. (Ortity) Carter

Marjorie A. (Ortity) Carter, 84, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Monday, July 15, 1940, in Harrisburg to the late Steve and Mary (Sonnon) Ortity.
Marjorie received her GED and spent 40 years with Wyeth Lab where she later retired from. She was a member of Falmouth United Methodist Church and led bible studies. In her free time, she enjoyed going for car rides, spending time at the beach, crocheting, as well as spending time with her children at their hand-built log cabin.
She is survived by a daughter, Tina Miller (Jack); four sons, Walter F. Carter, Jr., Curt Carter, Randy Carter and Shawn Carter (Darlene); 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Mark Carter; two siblings, Gerald Ortity and Nancy (Putt) Hower; two faithful K-9 companions, Taz and Mickey.
Family and friends are invited for a visitation on Monday, August 19th from 11 to 12 PM at Falmouth United Methodist Church, 108 Falmouth Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17502. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM with Pastor Jeffrey Snyder officiating. Burial will private per family request.
