Jack L. Rice
December 28, 1935 — February 23, 2025
Jack L. Rice, 89, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at United Zion Nursing Home, Lititz. Born in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Robert and Katherine Rice. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Ruth M. Rice, who passed in 2016.
Jack and Ruthie loved to camp and travel together. Jack also enjoyed working on his yard and going out to eat. He was a proud Air Force veteran and loved sharing stories of his service. Above all, he was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Surviving are three children: David of Illinois; Danette Nickel of Elizabethtown, and Danese, married to John Snyder of Colorado; five grandchildren: Jessica Nandy and Caitlin Rice, Cody Nickel and wife Abby; Jacob and wife Jenn, and Jordan Snyder and wife April; and seven great-grandchildren: Calee, Hudson, Cameela, Laura, Noah, Isaiah, and Maddy.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
