Hilda Amanda (Hinchman) Justice

Hilda A. (Hinchman) Justice, 95, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Paramount Senior Living, Maytown.  Born Friday, June 8, 1923 in Elkins, WV, and raised in Beverly, WV, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Amanda (Shannon) Hinchman.  Following her mother’s death at a young age, Hilda was adopted and raised by her cousin, Mattie Weese.  She was married to the love of her life, Bennie F. Justice, for over 69 years until his death on May 20, 2009.

She was a graduate of Beverly High School and was employed by Wyeth Laboratories, Marietta for nearly 40 years.  She was also a longtime member of Mount Calvary Church, Elizabethtown.

Hilda enjoyed crocheting afghans, traveling with her husband in their camper, loved arranging flowers, art sketching, gardening, reading her Bible and baking, especially her famous peanut butter candy, but above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is survived by a son, Robert F. Justice, husband of Linda; two grandchildren, Holly Justice and Mark Justice, husband of Jessica, all of York and three great-grandchildren, Faith, Donovan and Owen Justice.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Justice.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Mount Calvary Church, 625 North Holly Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with Pastor Matt Watson officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  Closed casket visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 144 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1380.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hilda’s memory to Mount Calvary Church.
