George S. Bauer

George S. Bauer, 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy with his loving wife of 33 years by his side. Born Saturday, January 13, 1934 in Hungary, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Farkas) Bauer. He was married to Madeline E. (Tierney) Bauer on November 9, 1984.
A Veteran, George proudly served with the US Navy. He worked as a Locomotive Engineer for Conrail for over 35 years retiring in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline E. Bauer, of Elizabethtown as well as 4 step-sons: Michael, Timothy, Patrick and Steven and 5 step-daughters: Suzanne, Theresa, Frances, Madeline and Gale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Reverend Steven W. Fauser as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the mass.
