Dorothy M. (Breier) Laur

Dorothy M. Laur, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mae (Eichler) Breier. She was the wife of Robert E. MacDonald who died in August 2014. Her first husband, Francis J. Laur died in January 1979.

Dorothy was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Elizabethtown. She enjoyed Ballroom, Round and Square Dancing. She was an avid attendee of the auction at Roots as well as others and was known as #123, and was a loyal Steelers fan. The family matriarch, she will be best remembered as being devoted to her family.

She is survived by two daughters: Mary Ellen Burkart, wife of Bill of Elizabethtown and Grace McGovern, wife of Ed of Mechanicsburg; a son Daniel Laur and his wife Ann Marie of Cannonsburg, PA; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; a sister Irene Grundy and three half siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 12:30 PM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at Chiques Hill Cemetery, Manheim.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be to the New Parish Center Capital Campaign, St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
