Carl Francis Olnick

Carl F. Olnick, Master Sergeant, USAF, Ret., of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his home. Born Friday, November 29, 1935 in Burnham, PA, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Stephana M. (Kryston) Olnick. He was married over 60 years to Sarah A. “Sally” (Caldwell) Olnick.

Mr. Olnick retired in 1974 from the US Air Force after 21 years of service. He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed all sports. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Sally, he is survived by four children: Timothy J. Olnick and his wife Irene of California, MD; Carol A. Olnick of Hummelstown; Jane M. Rodgers and her husband Robert of Linglestown and Joseph M. Olnick of Camp Hill; three grandchildren: Melissa Rodgers, Jeffrey Rodgers and Brian Olnick; two brothers: William D. Olnick and his wife Esther of Belleville and Leon J. Olnick and his wife Nancy of Lewistown, and a sister Lucyanne M. Morris and her husband Phillip of King of Prussia.

Mr. Olnick was predeceased by five siblings:  Michael Olnick, Martha Rodgers, Stephanie Demskie, Harry Olnick and Joseph Olnick.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 in the Boyer Funeral Home, 144 East High Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. There will be no viewing.  Family visitation will be from 10:00 until the time of service. Interment and Military Honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
