Benjamin R. Mummau

Benjamin R. Mummau, 43, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of L. Ray and Evelyn M. (Koch) Mummau.

Ben will be lovingly remembered as a man who was funny and kind natured. He enjoyed making others happy. He participated in community outreach programs to help people in need. He even gave the shoes off his feet for someone who needed them more. His siblings joked that he was mom’s favorite kid, even when he stole cookie batter. Above all, he loved his son and his family. “The ground is level at the cross.”

In addition to his parents, Ben is survived by his wife, Lauren A. (Bollinger) Mummau, son Noah R. Mummau, siblings: Michele L. Myers & husband Kenneth D of Mt. Joy, Brian R. Mummau & wife Christa of Harrisburg, Tanya L. Frey & husband B. Michael of York, Elizabeth Sewell of FL, Maryann Feltman & husband Doug of Millersville and Donna Marie Booth of Reading, as well as 25 nieces & nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Grace Chapel 2535 Colebrook Rd., Elizabethtown, PA 17022, with Pastor Mel Weaver officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Risser Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., Elizabethtown. 717-367-1380
