Almeda Jane (Olewiler) Hoerner

Almeda Jane Hoerner, 92, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, surrounded by her family. Born Saturday, July 17, 1926 in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late William and Jennie (Dupler) Olewiler. She was married 66 years to Kenneth V. Hoerner, Sr., who passed away on January 3, 2015.
Almeda was a member of the Alliance Church in Elizabethtown. Beginning in 1955, she worked for numerous shoe factories in the area and retired in 1992.
She is survived by two children: Ruth F. Hoerner of Elizabethtown and Kenneth V. (Carol) Hoerner, Jr. of Mount Joy; two grandchildren: Kristy (Michael) Anderson and Ryan (Janele) Hoerner, and seven great grandchildren.
Almeda was predeceased by a sister Anna D. Pfaunmiller.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Alliance Church, 425 Cloverleaf Road, Elizabethtown at 12:00 Noon. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Goods Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
