Alice H. Ginter, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on July 29, 2026 at Juniper Village in Mount Joy. She was 98 years old. She was born Alice Helen Milliron on May 15, 1928 in the town of Curwensville in Clearfield County. She was the daughter of Joseph Milliron and Gussie Milliron Michaels.
Alice spent over 60 years in her home on Woodland Ave in Elizabethtown, where she raised her three children. Alice worked for many years at RCA/ Burle Industries and retired in 1990. She was a long-time member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown and held dear the fellowship of her church family.
Alice loved laughter, good food, and games with friends and family. She loved the Kentucky Derby, and never missed a Penn State or Steelers football game. She was cherished by her family and will be dearly missed for her generosity, independent spirit, joy for life and unwavering love and support of others.
She is survived by her daughters, Jo Swope and her husband Allen, Columbia, and Patricia Houck and her husband Richard Crispino, Hummelstown; five grandchildren, Jennifer Swope, Elizabeth Swope, Joy Ginter Cox, Jody Ginter Mihok and William Houck; and five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Katherine, Pepper, Jacey and Meric. Her beloved son, John Ginter and daughter-in-law, Lek Khomthinkaew Ginter preceded her in death, as well as her sisters, Betty McKane and Esther Milliron.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alice’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
