Charles Pfaunmiller, Jr., 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away at Elizabeth Manor on Friday, August 10, 2018. Born Thursday, April 9, 1936 in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Charles W. Pfaumiller, Sr. and Anna D. (Olweiler) Pfaunmiller. His wife Ann M. Pfaunmiller passed away in November 2012.
Charles was a 1954 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. A truck driver most of his life, he was always known as a hard worker. He served his country in the US Air Force Reserves and liked to work on cars. Charles played the guitar, and wrote country music and poems. He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. What brought the most joy to his life was his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons: Charles R. Pfaunmiller and wife Linda of Elizabethtown and Kevin L. Pfaunmiller and wife Dawn of Dillsburg; three grandchildren: Erika, Jason and Noah Pfaunmiller; a sister Arlene Hershey and two brothers: Jay Robert Pfaunmiller and wife Bonnie of Elizabethtown and Elwood Pfaunmiller and wife Aletha of Imler, PA.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 144 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 from 10:00-11:00 AM. Immediately following the viewing we will depart for Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg for a graveside service.
