Robert C. Hippensteel

Robert C. “Hip” Hippensteel, 71, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital.  Born Sunday, December 24, 1944 in Enid, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late William C. and Lois J. (Cooper) Hippensteel.  He was married to Sandra L. (Briel) Hippensteel on April 20, 1963.

In addition to his devoted wife, Sandy, of over 53 years, he will be lovingly missed by two sons, Fred C. Hippensteel and wife, Grace, of Elizabethtown; John H. Hippensteel and wife, Judi, of Elizabethtown; two granddaughters; two grandsons and two great granddaughters; siblings, Melvia D. Neideigh and husband, Galen, of Mount Joy; Billie Jane Bailey, of Mount Joy; Michael L. Hippensteel, of York; his step-mother, June (Epler) Hippensteel, of Elizabethtown and a step-sister, JoAnn Lines, of Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Newville Bible Church, 819 Turnpike Road, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with Pastor Edward H. Eifert officiating.  A time of visitation will follow the memorial service.  Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 144 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1380.
