Carl R. Brubaker

Carl Russell Brubaker, 94, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2016.  He was born Saturday, April 15, 1922 in Bainbridge to the late Earl S. Sr. and Corienne (Light) Brubaker. Carl was predeceased by his wife, Jane Louise (Flowers) Brubaker in 2005. 

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Stone and husband Edward; 2 grandsons, Nathan E. Stone and wife Jennifer and Kyle M. Stone.  He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Earl Brubaker, Jr. and Melvin Brubaker. 

He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII.  He retired from Raybestos in Manheim. Following retirement, he worked for Appleby Systems, Inc.  He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 329 in Elizabethtown and a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God.  Carl was an avid Steelers and Phillies fan.  Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. 

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Burial will take place in Camp Hill Cemetery, Mt. Joy.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Boyer Funeral Home, Inc. 144 E. High St., Elizabethtown 17022. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to the Lancaster SPCA, 848 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
