Betty F. Miller

Betty F. Miller, 101, of Lititz, formerly of Elizabethtown, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Landis Homes. Born in Manheim she was the daughter of the late Samuel D. and Minnie S. (Flinchbaugh) Keener Fink. She was widowed by her husband, Rev. Abner G. Miller in 2008.

She had an early interest in nutrition and was skilled at making delicious healthy meals using herbs. She maintained a vegetable garden everywhere she lived, but she also loved flowers, especially roses. In her free time Betty did beautiful handwork – knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She was a supportive pastor’s wife, and together they assisted with multiple tours to the Middle East. She had an active interest in Israel, and lead multiple Messianic prayer groups. Betty was deeply invested in her love for her Savior Jesus Christ, and eagerly shared her faith.

Betty is survived by a son Arley K. Miller (Shirley H.) of Camp Hill, daughter Phyllis E. Sauder (John A.) of Lancaster, two grandchildren, Maribeth Sauder and J. Michael Sauder (Susan), and two great grandchildren, Elijah P. Sauder and Joy E. Sauder. She was preceded in death by son Kenneth K. Miller, brother Henry F. Keener, and sister Esther S. Keener.

A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday July 15 in the West Bethany Chapel of Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Rd., Lititz, PA 17543. A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, July 16 also in the West Bethany Chapel with Rev. Dave Witmer and Rev. Henry Buckwalter officiating. Burial will be private at Erisman Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 144 E. High St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
